A horse who lives at Buttonwood Park Zoo in New Bedford.

[edit.commentary]

I'd just like to thank everyone who has commented or favorited this piece. I cannot express in words how much all of your support means to me. As a still relatively unexperienced photographer, such massive feedback is a bit overwhelming, but it totally justifies that I'm doing something that not only I love, but other people can enjoy as well.

And that's one of the best feelings in the world. :D

Sorrow at the Zoo by *bobweb The title is so striking it immediately evoked emotions in me. As i tilted my head to see what is there behind that eye, i got lost. Do you ever wonder what animals feel? ( Featured by `suzi9mm )

This is awesome! There is tons of emotion in this picture! One question... Why was there a horse at a zoo? They aren't exotic animals.. Was it an exotic horse? Like a zorse or a przewalski?

You never know, a horse could be exotic to someone who was bred, born and grown in the city. I have a horse myself and live in tourist town and can't count the number of people that have never seen a horse before! :D I realize that I'm not the artist, and that this is an old comment, but I hope I helped answer your question :meow:

I love this shot.
And I love how you honestly captured the horse's sorrow.
No animal should be kept as pets or for business.
