so i made a couple of acoustic recordings the other day when i was sick.. and i thought i might share them because i'm feeling creative. they're both covers of fall out boy songs - nobody puts baby in the corner, and sugar we're going down - and as much as some people hate fob because they're mainstream and emo, i was impressed with the album i just picked up.. so here we go..
Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner
Sugar, We're Going Down
now, the only problem i have with the recordings is the vocal tracks.. especially the one in nobody puts baby in the corner. i was sick when i did them, so i had a hard time hitting a couple notes in places. but they're passable, and i'm content with them. so yeah.
the nobody puts baby in the corner recording is pretty much note-for-note with the acoustic recording fob did (with suckier singing). the sugar we're going down recording was an arrangement i wrote that uses a different tuning than fob's version.
i, of course, take no credit for writing these songs - that's all on fall out boy. doesn't mean you shouldn't tell me what you think of the recordings though. =]
